Summerhouse, meet Cloudhouse!
These pieces were made with retail in mind. They are deliberately rough hewn but made with great care and attention to texture, mood and emotion. They are also quite lightweight due to switching out gravel for glass fiber in the concrete mix.
Note: this blog is very much in progress, and is mainly for the people at Summerhouse 21 & 57, whose aesthetic I've fallen in love with from afar (and whom I now wish to impress). I have a chance to visit the store today and wanted something to direct you to in case we have the opportunity to talk. It will be more organized by the day. Be sure to peek at the archives for a few more pics.
Cheers,
Sean

Concrete Tub Surround for the Loebs
This surround took 700lbs of concrete, cast into forms, on the second floor. Without a mixer. By myself. I love the way it came out but would probably get help if I had it to do over!
The images go from design to completion.
